Hydraulics

Honing is a pre-requisite within the hydraulics industry. Honing produces surface finishes required for many pistons to work effectively and without excessive wear.

Items machined include hydraulic cylinders, rams, piston rods and specialist, close tolerance tubing which is often unavailable from tubing suppliers.

It is often more cost effective to purchase solid material, drill, hone and turn the billet in order to produce the specialist tubing than buying a standard tube and honing out large quantities of material.
